WakeFul is a five-minute warm-up game, run by Sharmila and Abhay, based in India. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@wakeful.online.

What we collect

Your account, if you make one: your email address (to send sign-in codes), how many free runs you have used, whether you hold the Beta Lifetime Pass, how many runs you have played, and, so you can continue an unfinished run on another device, which rounds it had and how far you got. We never store scores or ratings with your account.
Anonymous run results: scores, accuracy, round results and your before and after alertness ratings, sent with a random session ID and never with your name, email or account. This is on by default and you can switch it off on the Your data page.
Feedback you choose to give after a run: whether it helped, a favourite round, a difficulty rating and an optional comment. It is stored with the run's random session ID only.
Payments: the amount, currency and a payment ID from Dodo Payments. Your card and payment details go to Dodo Payments and never reach us.
Usage recordings, only if you click Allow on the "Help us improve WakeFul?" banner: Microsoft Clarity records clicks, scrolls and screen replays. Account screens are masked and no emails or names are sent.
On your device: your past runs (the last 100), your sound and sharing choices and your Clarity choice are kept in your browser's storage. They stay on your device.

Why we use it

To run your account: sign you in, count your free runs, give you the Beta Lifetime Pass you paid for, and let you continue a run.
To make WakeFul better: anonymous results, feedback and (if you allow it) usage recordings show us which rounds work and which are too hard.
To handle payments and any refund the law requires, and to keep the records the law asks for.

We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your data to profile you.

Who processes it for us

Supabase stores accounts and anonymous run results, and sends your sign-in codes by email through our email delivery provider.
Dodo Payments takes payments as the merchant of record and handles card details, tax and refunds.
Microsoft Clarity records usage, only if you allow it.
Vercel hosts the website, and like any web host it sees basic request details such as your IP address.

These services may store data outside India. Each processes it only to provide its service to us, under its own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted when you ask us to delete it. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Anonymous run results and feedback are kept to improve the game; because they are not linked to you, we cannot pick out yours. Microsoft keeps Clarity recordings for a limited time under its own policy. Data on your device stays until you delete it.

Your choices and rights

See, download or delete the runs saved on your device on the Your data page (See stored data).
Switch off sharing anonymous results there too, and change your Clarity choice at any time.
Ask us what account data we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing hello@wakeful.online from the address you sign in with.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, tell us first. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Cookies

WakeFul uses no advertising cookies. Signing in keeps a session in your browser's storage so you stay signed in. Microsoft Clarity sets analytics cookies only after you click Allow.

Children

WakeFul accounts and payments are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if you think we have, email hello@wakeful.online and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
